Beach Club Brewing
About
Beach Club Brewing was a fun opportunity for us to flex our creativity on a physical product. We partnered up with Beach Club to work on some extensive design, both in the digital realm and in terms of product packaging. We worked with Beach Club on website design, covering tone of voice and messaging as well as providing some merchandise design and product mockups.
Challenge
With Beach Club the challenge began as a brand new startup for a product business. They had the concept of high quality seltzers and approached us for website creation during the middle of their product testing and product packaging process. Their biggest pitfall they saw for themselves was as a beverage company they didn’t have the marketing budgets other companies had at their disposal. So, Beach Club wanted to make sure they had a strong online presence to make up for that. Another challenge that came with Beach Club Brewing was planning a website that could market and make their product available, while staying in line with commerce and interstate trade laws revolving around alcoholic beverages.
Outcome
Our first thoughts when beginning the project for Beach Club Brewing was that it was very clear what everything should look like. The guidance being that it needed to be relatable, vibrant and youthful. After reviewing competitors’ websites, and talking with Shauna we came to the conclusion that we wanted to make sure that we pushed the quality of drinks that Beach Club produced, and that they allowed you to have fun without being reckless. We also became aware of the need for age verification pop-ups and a clear plan on how they would get beverages to folks without the distribution budgets of a major company. It was immensely fun for us to create merchandise for Beach Club to sell, as well as give them some pointers for their social media marketing planning.
