Q: Do you offer a la carte options for brand and website design?

A:   My goal is to provide my clients with a cohesive, streamlined brand from start to finish. I highly recommend taking advantage of the all-inclusive package for brand, website, collateral, and business development. However, I understand that sometimes you want or need only one piece, or perhaps you want the opportunity for us to get to know each other before we dive into the abyss together. If that is the case, let me know and we will figure something out (Pre-designed brands are subject to approval.)

Q: When you build sites, do you work with a Content Management System or do you hand-code?

A:   Both! As far as Content Management System (CMS), my team and I work in WordPress. We also usually recommend having your site built that way, as it is much more cost efficient than building from scratch. The possibilities with WordPress are also pretty limitless, and best of all it’s really easy for clients to use and gives them the ability to do updates themselves, if they want, once the site is set up.

Q: What kind of time frames can I expect for your different services?

It will vary based on how responsive you are during the processed, but if everything goes smoothly, the average time frames for the average project (so yes this is roughly ;)) is:

Brand & Website Design when I have received all the information: approx. 1 month. Yes it’s pretty intense, but we believe in setting up clear timelines, working hard, creating great pieces, get done and move on vs lallygagging.

Q: Do you offer any extra services?

A: As far as design, I can help with clothing to collateral pieces, and more! Just let me know what extras you’re interested in and we’ll take it from there. Or if you need to bounce ideas, I offer design and business consultations.

We are also connected, so if we don’t offer something, chances are we know who you should talk to.

Q: How soon can we get started?

A: My schedule is usually booked about two months in advance. I’ll give you an estimated start date when we connect. When you book your project in my schedule I’ll send you a finalized start and estimated finish date.

Q: How do I pay you?

A: When you decide to book your project you’ll pay a non-refundable 10% deposit to book your spot in my queue. The remaining balance is split into 50% down that is due when your project begins and the last 40% is due when your project ends, but before your final files/or full access are handed over.

I accept credit card, Venmo or check… yup, still taking checks, I can barely believe it myself but the no-fee thing has a good ring to it.

Q: Will you give me feedback on my website and business strategies?

A:   While I love helping business owners refine and improve their site and guiding them with strategies, I’m currently unable to answer every email with a thoughtful response. However, I’m working on setting up design and business consultations options. Those will be announced in my newsletter, so sign up and you will be the first to know. You’ll also get some little gold nuggets of my knowledge and what’s happening in my colorful world. :)!

Q: Who took the photos for your website?

A:   Ryan with RMF Images did. He is all about candid shots and will trick you into a great shot without you noticing it. He is also fantastic with artistic nature photos. Have a look at his website Fritzsche Fotografi

Q: I saw that I get assigned homework. If I do any branding work with you, what does that involve?

A: I’ll send you an in-depth workbook that will get you to seriously think about your business goals, your target client, your brand message, and your vision. I’ll then ask you to gather some pictures and/or sites with inspiration for your brand, so I have a visual idea of the styles you like.

Q: What does the Kick-Off session involve?

A: Before the design process begins, we have a chat to discuss your homework in case something wasn’t clear to me from reading your workbook. At that time, you can ask any questions you might have as well, so we can make sure we are on the same page about your new brand.

Q: What is a brand style guide?

A: It’s a PDF outlining the details of your brand; your color codes, font names, visual identity, any variation, and how you should use your brand elements.

Q: What is a sub mark?

A: It’s usually an icon/symbol to represent your brand and is often used for profile pictures and favicons (favicon is the little guy in the tab on your browser).

Q: What if I don't like the design you create for me?

A: My designs come with sets of revisions so you can review the design and request changes to be made. If you use up all your revisions and need more, that’s no problem! I can give you a quote for extra revisions.

Q: Are refunds available on your services?

A: Because this is a time-for-money type of business, refunds are not available. I encourage straightforward communication so we don’t even have to end up there. Let me know if I haven’t been able to visually tell your story correctly and we’ll regroup. If it’s beyond the scope we originally agreed upon, I will give you a separate quote for that.

Q: What if I book you but need to cancel. Do I get my deposit back?

A: Deposits are non-refundable and will act as a cancellation fee.

Q: I think I read that you do walking meetings. What is that all about?

A: I believe in a healthy and balanced life. We all need to get up and away from our computers or just away from our normal work environment. Having a walking meeting is my way of getting my clients away from all the have-tos for a moment. Plus, moving in nature is a great way to get the creative juices flowing. (It also means that you get a light workout in during a busy day: win-win.)
